Sony has just officially introduced its latest mid-range phablet, the Xperia T2 Ultra Dual in the Indian market. However, it was already available to purchase at online retail stores since last month. Sony is selling the dual-SIM edition of the device in India for Rs 25,990.
The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual flaunts a 6-inch HD TRILUMINOS display powered by the X-Reality picture engine for mobiles. The processor ticking under the hood is a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400, paired with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. There's 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card
For imaging, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual comes with a 13MP rear shooter powered by Sony Exmor RS sensor, which offers 1080p quality video recording. There is a 1.1MP HD front camera as well, also powered by Sony Exmor R sensor. The primary shooter is backed by Sony’s smart social camera system which comes with various photo editing features like collage, background defocus, timeshift burst and sweep panorama.
The Xperia T2 Ultra Dual runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and is expected to get the 4.4 KitKat update in the near future. The connectivity features of the phone include 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and aGPS. It is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery that comes with Sony Stamina mode.
The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual is available in black, white or purple. Sony states that it will be available to buy at major brick and mortar stores across the country starting March 20th.
