Nokia has quietly introduced its latest feature phone, the Nokia 220 Dual SIM in the Indian market. The phone is available to buy on the Nokia e-Store for Rs 2,749. The handset was introduced at MWC 2014 along with the Asha 230 in single and dual-SIM variants. There's no info on whether its single-SIM version will be released in the country. At the launch event at MWC, the Finnish smartphone maker stated that the Nokia 220 is built on the success of the Nokia 110. It features a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The phone is powered by a 970mAh battery, which promises to deliver 15 hours of calling and 24 days of standby time.
The phone is offered in five colours – black, yellow, cyan, white or red. However, only the black one is available on the store right now. Other features of the phone include a 2MP rear shooter, flashlight, FM Radio, microSD card support up to 32GB. Connectivity-wise, the Nokia 220 offers 2G, microUSB and Bluetooth. Nokia has also preloaded the phone with apps like Twitter, Facebook, Nokia Xpress browser and Bing as the default search engine.
