Karbonn launches octa-core Titanium Octane and Octane Plus for Rs 14,490 and Rs 17,990

In addition to the company’s first hexa-core smartphone, the Karbonn Titanium Hexa, the domestic manufacturer has also introduced its first octa-core smartphones today. Tagged as the Karbonn Titanium Octane and Titanium Octane Plus, the phones are priced at Rs 14,490 and Rs 17,990 respectively. Similar to the Titanium Hexa, both devices will also be available starting the first week of April. Both phones are powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 processor. The Titanium Octane is supported by 1GB of RAM, while the Octane Plus has 2GB of RAM. Both devices run the latest iteration of Android i.e. 4.4 KitKat.

The Karbonn Titanium Octane comes with a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. It sports a 13MP autofocus rear camera with flash and a 5MP front shooter too.

On the other hand, the Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus offers beefed-up hardware. It flaunts the same 5-inch display, but offers full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels). For imaging, it is equipped with 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front shooter.
Both phones come with 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable upto 32GB via microSD cards. The battery under the hood in these phones is of a 2,000mAh capacity. Connectivity options are the same, including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and aGPS.

The Titanium Octane and Octane Plus will complete against the likes of Micromax Canvas Knight A350Wammy Passion X and Intex Aqua Octa.
