Samsung’s first Tizen-based smartphone reportedly coming next month

Samsung’s long-rumoured smartphone powered by Tizen may finally see the light of the day sometime next month. The Tizen operating system has been developed by Intel and Samsung.Tizen Indonesia blog reports that first Tizen phone will be introduced in the Russian market, citing an unnamed Samsung official. The blog also reports that the company will later roll it out to Brazil and other emerging markets.
According to the report, Samsung will be targeting its Tizen phones at the regions where the smartphone market hasn't yet developed thoroughly. This means Tizen will still have a chance to attract the consumers in these markets because Android has yet to gain popularity there. The first Samsung Tizen smartphone won't be much different than the Galaxy S4 in terms of design.
However, it won't really be the first Samsung device to be powered by Tizen. Earlier this year, at MWC in Barcelona, the company introduce the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smartwatches that run Tizen.
