The Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM is a budget Lumia phone running Windows Phone 8.1 with the Lumia Denim update. The platform will be re branded as the Windows 10 Mobile soon. The phone sports a 5-inch HD screen (294 ppi pixel density), and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor. The phone offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further increased by up to 128GB via a microSD card.
For imaging, the Lumia 540 offers an 8MP autofocus rear shooter with an LED flash, and a 5MP selfie-centric front snapper with a wide-angle lens. In terms of connectivity, the phone has dual-SIM support, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS. A 2,200mAh battery provides the juice.
The Microsoft Lumia 540 will be available in India for Rs 10,199. The phone comes bundled with a few freebies, including Rs 1,000 cash back on recharges from Paytm (Rs 200 per month for five months), cash back worth Rs 800 from Ola Money (Rs 200 per recharge for firsr four recharges of Rs 500 and above), 30GB cloud storage on OneDrive, double data offer from Airtel for two months and a two-month subscription to Gaana with unlimited music downloads. The smartphone will be available to buy starting May 18th, and the pre-booking process starts today.
