Canvas Doodle 3 launched at Rs 8,500

Canvas Doodle 3_
Micromax has launched the Canvas Doodle 3 With a 6-inch display, the device is bigger than the usual phablets and accompanies the manufacturer’s recently-released smartphone, the Canvas XL toting the same screen size. However, the resolution of 854 x 480 pixels seems quite low for a display of this size. Performance of the phablet is handled by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor supplemented by 512MB of RAM. In terms of storage, the device is equipped with 4GB internally, with an option of expanding it further with the use of a microSD card.or imagery, the phablet features 5-megapixel and VGA snappers at the back and front respectively. Software-wise, it’s loaded with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and gets preloaded apps and games like Opera Mini BrowserKingsoft OfficeRope Cut, and more. It offers all the standard connectivity options such as 3G, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. The Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 is powered by a 2,500mAh battery.
Micromax is also bundling content and freebies with the Canvas Doodle 3. It comes with a magnetic flip cover to protect it against dust and scratches. Buyers also get a premium account of BigFlix movie streaming service for a period of six months.
At a sticker price of Rs 8,500, the Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 is the most affordable smartphone flaunting an enormous 6-inch display. The device will be available to buy starting April 25th with colour options of blue and white. However, going by the specs and pricing, the device seems to be a step backward compared to its predecessor, the Canvas Doodle 2. It also misses out on a stylus, which was available with previous Doodle series devices.
